As we are increasing our technical skills in the field of security systems, criminal activities are also increasing side by side. In this situation a locksmith product was introduced in the market to keep criminals away. A deadbolt lock is the only products which can frustrate criminals if they ever try to enter your house forcefully. Deadbolt locks are of two types, one is single cylinder and second is double cylinder. A single cylinder deadbolt lock is installed on one side of a door and provide key access from that side only and double cylinder deadbolt lock is on one side but from both the sides means you can insert the key from either sides of a door. It can prevent forceful entry and breakthrough.

Deadbolt Locks
By installing a deadbolt lock 60 inches from the floor, one can reduce the force of a kick or other heavy material on doors. When we lock a deadbolt lock, a one inch long steel latch is entered into the door jamb. Its not easy for an individual to break a deadbolt lock. That’s why in my opinion deadbolt locks are best for residents’ security.

In this day and age when electronic locks are becoming more and more popular, we should not forget the old reliable mechanical locks known as the cylinder locks. The cylinder lock will always be known as one of the most dependable among the mechanical door locks of years past.
Cylinder Locks
The function of your standard cylinder door lock is based on use of a built-in cylinder that has to be rotated for your lock to open. The cylinder lock will generally be held in place along with a host of different lock systems as well. Some of these lock systems you may be familiar with are the disc tumbler lock system, the wafer tumbler lock system, and the pin tumbler lock system.
